My Events page is used to manage the event that you plan on attending, these can events that the community has broadcasted over at the Holonet or events that you've personally logged (private event).
A private event, is an event that you create on the My Events page and does not appear on the Holonet.
Clicking the Add Event allows you to create a private event.
The Add Event form allows you to add the event details, including title, dates, location, and the authors attending.
The authors at event allows you to add multiple authors that are scheduled to attend the event.
Once you've created the event, it'll be listed in your My Event page.
If you added an event from the Holonet, it'll be listed as an event in your My Event page, it will display a Holonet chip.
Click the chevron (v) icon to expand your event, this will allow you to add books and add sessions to the event.
The books available in the list are all of the titles in your collection filtered by the attending authors. Select the books you plan to bring to the event and click on the Add button.
Click on the chevron (v) icon on the Books Brought section will display a scrollable list of your selected books.
Next you can add session(s) to your event, so you'll know the time & location for signing session.
You'll need to assign an attending author to a session, at most events not all authors will be at the same session. The authors in the list are filtered by the attending authors. You will also be able to assign authors to multiple sessions within an event.
If add authors for books that you've added to the event, their books will automatically display in a scrollable list in the Add Session form. You can then select the books you plan on bringing to the session.
Click on the chevron (v) icon for the session to view the session's details, you'll see session's attending authors and your books for the session.
You'll also notice that the session has an Attended switch, when turn the switch on, it tracks that you attended the session. This allows you to keep track of sessions that you were able to attend or missed due to scheduling reasons.
If you've created a private event but want to share the event with the community, you can use the share button to post the event to the Holonet.
When you share an event to the Holonet, it will only share the event details. The books & sessions you've added to the event will remain private.
Your shared event will appear on the Holonet page, exactly as if you had submitted the event directly on the Holonet page.
Sessions and Events can be edited, any of the information that you added while creating the session or event can be updated or removed.
There are a few of things to keep in mind.
You can search events by attending author and also apply filters based on the event name.
