¶ Group by Title & Author (Contributors)

When viewing a title with multiple formats/variants, they will be grouped by title & author (contributors). In the exampke above, you'll see A New Dawn has 2 different groupings. The first grouping has 2 variants and while the second grouping has 4 variants.
The reason that the grouping is split is because they have different contributors for the title. See the Expanded State description below for further details.
¶ Expanded State
The groupings can be expanded to show the different variants for each title. You'll notice the Audio versions are group separately from the book versions. The main reason is that audio formats have different contributors from book formats.
Audio formats often have narrators, producers and directors, while the book formats do not have these contributors.
